Just received a 1 yr old hen Panama from a family who couldn't provide the care and attention that she needed. kiwi is as sweet as candy , the typical hen Panama , she is shy, quiet and very gentle. I put my hand in her shipping crate and she stepped right up. She talks but in a quiet voice, she was carrying on last PM when all the other zons where having their "happy time". I couldn't quite make out the words but she had a lot to say. IMO she'll be a talker given the right environment. She's in quarantine right now but i don't know how long i'll keep her there , she hasn't been around other birds and seems to be healthy, of course i'll give her some time before bringing her into the flock. If any one is interested please contact me. I'll try and get some pics/vids as soon as i can get someone to help me. Of course i also have another hen pan, hen nape, male nape, male Red Lored also looking for someone to make that "connection" with.

Captain, I'm SO glad you got this Pan hen!!! :D Can't wait to see some pictures of her. Does she have a name?

PS. I stuck your thread into the Rehoming section. Get ready to be bombarded with folks who want her. ;)

Kiwi, she's been clipped pretty hard but is growing some new flights. They say she's not much on fresh foods but i'll bet i can change that, LOL. (they're all pigs at heart)

This was her trying out her shipping crate, not wanting to leave, and being dropped off at the United petsafe counter. The house feels empty without her.

I'm so glad you got her and I know you will bring out the best in her!

I wish I lived closer, I would sure be interested in another sweet zon hen!

BIG hop, skip and a jump, LOL. Think about a 10 1/2 hour drive. .

Was so hoping a little closer so I could visit. I would so love to have her.

Is this the panama from Milwaukee ?? Im just curious. I would love to help you rehire any of your zons but not real sure how my severe would react. Best of luck.

Im in north FL. I would love to take in one of your amazons but will not be ready until next year for another bird. If you still have one by then maybe, just maybe. :)

You should stop and met Kiwi. My ex took her home for the weekend so she's getting plenty attention. Heck you should met a few of the zons and see what happens.

Now is not the time for an Amazon now is not the time for an Amazon now is not the time for an Amazon now is not the time for an Amazon now is not the time for an Amazon now is not the time for an Amazon....

A panama hen is on my dream list, but the timing couldn't be worse. Too bad it isn't, say, 10 years in the future or I would be knocking down your door.

Hey Capt.

Im sitting out here looking at Ram Powell watching the Tuna jump!

Ill be passing through Tampa around the 14-15 of Sept, you gonna be around? I'd love to meet her and I know Wifey would not leave without her...

Oh, you're killing me with "watching the tuna jump". Good to hearb the tuna are on Ram Powell, last couple of times i was there the sharks where real bad and had to go way on offshore. Too easy for them to be that close. Might have to check it out. I SHOULD be home in September so plan on coming by. I'm in Gulf Shores right now killing the flounder. Be head back past your house Monday pm.

My ex wife took kiwi home for the weekend while I'm gone. She just called and said Kiwi will be staying with her and to take down the rehome thread. She went to put kiwi in a travel cage and she didn't want to step up so she reached in and just picked her up. Doesn't bite. Now sitting on top of her cage chatting away with Stacie her hen nape. Says good morning kiwi. Hello, hi, and is trying to sing with Stacie. Great bird. Wish they all where as sweet as kiwi. Just hope i can get her back, lol.

Well, I might just have to swing by anyway, my flock is big enough.

100-150 lb class out here today, popping like popcorn...@ Horn Mountian

Glad to hear Kiwi found a good home. Sadly, we just lost the Pan Amazon guy who was rehomed to us via this forum several years ago. He, too, was named Kiwi. So this hen tugged at my heartstrings.

I remember when you got that pan. How's the Green wing doing. Kiwi hasn't found a home yet. My ex wants her but she doesn't really need another bird . Maybe you might want her. Btw what happened to your Kiwi.
