Wish us luck!

Nawwww!!!! I love the name Roxanne! And she's only 7 months old? That's horrible her former peoples abandoned her like that!! I'm so glad she fits perfectly in your family- despite what the cats think [emoji6] lol

Congrats and love the new name. 7 months is very young and she might have not had a lot of training yet, Give her time. Have the cats ever been around a dog in the house before?:)

Trish, I am so excited that Roxanne is home with you! What a beautiful girl, and it breaks my heart that she went through what she did with her previous owners. But now that she is in your wonderful, loving home that will soon become a distant memory:)
I am looking forward to more pictures and stories about your adventures together.
Now I must try to get the song Roxanne out of my head before I drive the birds crazy with my off key singing.

Gorgeous!!! I love bullies, you'll love her to bits. Great with kids too. Congrats on adding a bully to the flock. Our bully is Canelo, English bully and a sweet heart. You are going to enjoy her.

:) The Police certainly did have a song called 'Roxanne' and we're all still humming it at each other. Allee, please tell Georgie a cheery 'wuff' from Roxanne. They have a lot in common. :)

The rescue lady told me that Bullies are amongst the most rescued breeds in our area. I was surprised by this, since Staffies are the current flavour-of-the-month breed. Of course, you need to 'get' Bullies to have a harmonious relationship with them and eighteen years with our darling Alice will be a help in raising Roxie.

My first task is to make her a nice pair of fleecy pyjamas: it's very cold and she has hardly any coat! My second will be to make a nice harness for her that will double as a seatbelt in the car. I had a wonderful half-hour last night buying royal blue webbing and hardware for the harness on ebay.

Interesting factoid for you: I downloaded a copy of the Breed Standard from a link I found somewhere. Apparently, the English Bull Terrier's tail will, ideally, point straight out from its bum and be carried parallel with the ground. If it's set on too high and has an upward curl in it, it's regarded as being a 'gay' tail, which is a demerit.

Roxie's tail is unutterably gay: it curls up off her bum and wags all the time. I'm happy with that. :)

Congrats on getting Raven!!!! She's very cute!!! ;)
