what's your birds favorite toys

Yup, I’ve bought some bathroom sized paper cups for starting seeds and for giving bird treats. I will be happy to look at your dollar store ideas. I know I’ve bought wooden cooking utensils for birds to chew up. I also have a set of metal measuring spoons hung in Willow’s cage. Lucy (QP) used to love banging them but Willow is more interested in his bells.

What type of bird is Willow? I've made foraging toys with metal measuring spoons. You can do just one as a foot toy or string several together and hang them.

I've also used the paper towel tubes cut in half and then stuck popcicle sticks in it. Before you stick in the last stick, hide a foraging treat in it.

Mine too. But nothing "normal" that I could buy at the store. LOL! They love balsa, sola, mahogany pods and cork bark. All the softer type woods.

Oh, so you have 2 Quakers. Got it! I love them. They're such fun little birds. I had one YEARS ago named Shakey because he always shook when he chirped.

Nope, just one. Lucy was 24 and passed on of old age almost two yrs ago. Then I adopted willow. He is relatively healthy for a bird in my home! No big issues at all. Just a bit of a ‘chicken.’

Aww, that's so cute!! I made one into a play mat type thing for my Rose Breasted Too. As you can see, the goofball liked it. LOL!

He’s adorable! I made a smaller one into a play mat and they destroyed it within days! Normally it takes at least a week or two for them to destroy a smaller toy!

Jasper Meyers is currently destroying a plain grapevine wreath. It’s hung over his middle perch and he’s chewing up the individual pencil-sized vines.

When he’s done with it I will find another at the craft store!
