As for my dream bird......... I would love to have a bronze wing pionus, or a white-capped pionus. As well as a pair of hanging parrots. (Similar to parrotlets) amazing little creatures.


Pionus are my dream bird family.

so if you could have any bird what would it be. lets just say we live in some dream world where you dont have to worry about mess, noise, and we all had the experience to own any bird negative qualities and availibility asside. even if its extinct! i would have a palm cockatoo, hyacinth macaw, spixes macaw, kakapoo, kia, and a mulluccan cockatoo. i know some of these birds arent meant to be kept, but this is like a "what if" sorta thing .

I own my "Fritz" (lilac crown amaz) for over 30 yrs. He was 6 mts old when I got him and I am the only one he doesn't bite. What other bird would I love more?

I really like Ducorps cockatoos. If I ever need another medium-size parrot, I would probably try to find one, which may prove difficult.

My dream bird is a Macaw. I am on the waiting list for a hahns macaw. The bird I have now is in many ways a dream bird (I like green cheek conures).

But really, a galah was my first dream bird and I have him now. So for the moment I'm happy.

i love how most people are writing about dream bird-s lol, i think this forum has a severe case of the bird bug . i was at the pet store and held an eclectus, and the cutest, fluffiest, sweetest baby meyers parrot i have ever seen!!! i would also love to have exotic color mutations of society finches, and a pair of hexes, spice, orange breasted waxbills, javas, cordon blues...oh what the heck, i want them ALL
