Lorikeets are great! The diet once you find the right balance (and nectar formula blend) is actually not difficult. I have owned outdoor fowl (pheasants and pigeons) so no experience w/ other parrots in an ownership position; working at my vets office we see some of the MOODIEST Cockatoo's, I always found them so beautiful but so aggressive and unpredictable.
