Weaning my 8 week old sun Conure Max

Wondered if anyone can help?
Max is 8 weeks old and I have been weaning him off his formula and cutting him onto pellets seeds fruit veg etc, he eats 15ml in the morning and evening and still wants 10mls at lunch, I am battling to remove the lunch feed and wondered if anyone had any advice they could give me.

How much should a 8 week old conure weigh? Max is 96grams and I worry hes under weight.

96 to me is a lil on the lite side but not too lite to be in the underweight category. As for weaning, conures take up to 11 weeks to wean so just be patient with the lil guy. He will tell you when he is ready to wean. What I would do though, give him his pellets before each feeding time, let him eat all he wants and can and then feel his crop, if its not full then finish off with formula. That's what worked for me.

Thanks for the info. will defenatly try it out. I was given Max as a Christmas gift and I couldnt have been given anything better I love him so much. The breeder told us he was 6 weeks old when we fetched him, he looked very young for 6 weeks I thought at the time and when taking him to the vet etc I called the breeder to confirm Max's hatch date for records and that was when I was told he was 3 weeks younger than we thought. Im still new to all of this and wondered do you possibly have a chart or do you know where I can find a chart to make sure that Max stays in the correct weight area so I can make sure that I keep him as healthy and loved as physically possibly....
