It amazes me there are so few exotic/avian specialists. I was lucky that I had one reasonably close to me and reachable within a 1 hour drive.
It is a general veterinary practice, but one of the partners is a well respected avian/exotic specialist.
He would be a good choice for any in the South of the UK, fairly centrally located in Andover, so reasonably easily reached by car from anywhere in Hampshire, plus Berkshire, Surrey and parts of Wiltshire. They provide a 24/7 service, with emergency out of hours telephone.
The practice itself is very nice and the staff are lovely.

He gave me 10 extra years with Charlie, my African Grey, performing life saving surgery on him twice, as well as pulling him through pneumonia, not to mention a fair few less life threatening times that could easily have been worse. I know from his wife Kate, who started the practice, the difficulty and how much he put into pulling him through his last major operation.
