Dr. Dee Hensen ( Pepsi and sprites vet ) is the wife owner of the practice, she has a membership to the AAV , she never underestimated my knowlage because of my age, in fact they have a moulacan cockatoo. She also used to be a past president of the long island vetinary association . In fact , her husband Dr. David Hensen does animal therapary at my moms business , she's a social worker. I will always go to this clinic, I have complete trust in them, they are only a 20 min. drive

Earlier in the thread there was a suggestion in Yorba Linda and Orange. Dr Molnar is in Calabasas but has disappeared and deleted my comment on fb, otherwise the next avian vet is in Santa Barbara.

I take this back! This place is terrible! They bruised up and hurt my bird terribly just for an x-ray, and then blamed the bird. NEVER take your bird here :(

Both are really quite knowledgeable but Mackensen is much more personable. Clark is one of the top avian vets on the east coast but not one I would want to deal with on a regular basis. She is very well respected and charges accordingly.... We use Clark when either there is no other option or we have a really serious illness. I consider Mackensen our family vet and Clark the ER vet if that makes any sense to anyone!
 
Supposed to be first exit off 23. (exit 1) There's an avian enthusiast that shows birds (has the too that took nationals) from Eaton Rapids and she takes her birds there also....
