I do give breeding advice all the time! Please do check my past post for those who ask! But I give it to those that are doing it the right way. But I'm a non supporter to those that's only interested in breeding and such. We're all here to learn of course but at the same time we need to treat our feathery kids with proper respect. Like I've said I used to raised a lot of babies! I only do minimal now days. Not all breeders are equal!!!

Shame i can't post it here, so folks could gain a little insight into their companion's world. Breeding has given me more insight in to Jake's (life long companion) behavior and needs then i could ever hope to read about. i didn't have a crazy old bird man close by willing to teach me. Breeders are who is giving your bird it's long and healthy life. Pellets weren't originally developed for the pet parrot neither was Avian Medicine. It's the early importers/breeders who learned how to keep them alive.Maybe the mom&pop breeders who care enough about their birds to join a forum to learn, aren't the enemy.

Sorry for the rant.(does that make it OK?)

Are you a crazy old man? lol.

I am only interested in how parrots are bred just from the educational point of view. Would you be willing to post pics how your aviaries are set up?

There's some on here somewhere, maybe a couple of years old. I'll see what i can do.

I happen to be quite fond of some Mom&Pop breeders, especially since 3 of my 4 parrots came from there. ;)

Capt, you have too much to teach for it to go only into PMs. Please do post it here, or anywhere a question like this pops up. I know I'm not the only one who loves reading your posts. IMO you can never learn enough. :)

Now lets all do a group hug and be jolly.

I think the best resolution would be for those that have an issue with the thread to stop reading it. Richard can provide the information the OP needs privately. Based on the sentence structure and syntax, I would say that the OP is not located in North America. Who are we to impose our judgments on a different culture. I am certain that someone could find issue with any of us and our bird keeping standards. Keep it civil, and if you can't keep it civil then keep it to yourself is a motto I try (not always successfully) to adhere to

Thanks for understanding..
yes bro i'm not from America we have different culture & different weather...I can't keep the birds in open aviary out of home without AC ...the degree here is up to 50c in the summer..so can you imagine that

you do know how I really interested to breed the amazon parrots & how much I paid to got them & set up safe place for them

i'm also ready to pay more & more to learn about it
or to visit some breeder aviaries out of my country or to work with them

Perhaps all of the moderators, super moderators, uber moderators, and god-like moderators need to privately discuss what is acceptable on this site. If the site is to promote a community of people with an interest in parrots, then no subject should be taboo. If the site is to promote the sharing of knowledge, then knowledge should be able to be shared without fear. If the site is to promote the ideology of PETA and the Animal Liberation Front, so be it...as long as everyone is on the same page, though I firmly believe that impartiality and an open mind are beneficial to moderating any discussion

I however do have a open mind! More then you realize as you don't know me well but I can tell when someone is doing something thats not right. And I'm not going to agree with them what so ever since I have breeding experience so I'm speaking from that point of view. I have always speak my mind even before being a moderator and I will always do so. If.I don't do so to be honest I would be lying. I was a member contributing my beliefs first before a moderator and being one shouldn't change that as I will always give you upfront honest answer. I hope that help you understand a bit of where I'm coming from.

AWESOME!

I would like to join a parrot club out of Atlanta and if it ever offers aviary tours, I know I would be first in line to go! Breeders of all types offer invaluable insight and something learned may be used at home for the companion parrot owner.

Ok I know absolutely nothing about breeding, but that cage is so small... My lil Sennie, "sleeps" in a cage that size. I couldn't imagine having two amazons in that size of a cage day in day out. And the female is afraid? Would a female breed under those conditions even if mature, etc?

I agree the cage is way way to small :(

Mishka's night cage is twice the size :D
