That's exactly what we do. I think he does it to get a reaction from the dog, cat and the other bird, too. :31:

I hadn't put it together before, but my gf's brother in law heard it today and said it sounds like a smoke alarm. And it does! Same pitch, at least the same volume. Perfect imitation. Yeah, it's that bad. Of course he started giving the bird a hard time about it so I said, "thanks, you just gave him exactly what he wanted." Fool.

Oh Bruce, I feel for you. I have 2 who imitate the smoke alarm PERFECTLY. Both my Amazons. Hunter knew it first...and Sam picked that ungodly sound RIGHT up. :30:
