No, if they get used to the stick they will go on your hand/arm very easily.

So when do you think I should start stick training? Should I just jump right in with it or wait until she's more comfortable?

I would start soon, for all you know she already knows.Just don't push too hard too fast. Training is a way to start establishing trust as well and stimulation.

:)I would if you could do both.Maybe she will trust you enough to step up on your arm.I would first work on that .Sandy Bees ideas are excellent, she took the time to work with Bosely and it seems she developed a good repore.[and hes 30 some yrs old!] With my other birds they all step up on me.So I guess thats something I want with mine. But the stick is a good idea for those time she has to go back in and she doesnt want to.

I tried to get her to step on my arm yesterday while she was out, but she looked at me like i was crazy lol but she didn't try to bite me either. I don't mind if she wants to step on my hand.... It's getting bit that worries me, so having a stick sounds more feasible to me.

Yes that's why stick is recommended to start, see her reaction and anxiety levels.
Look up target training and clicker training on google and youtube videos you will get a lot of good info on how to get started training.
Being an older bird and not knowing history she may have some training all ready and the challenge will be in discovering what she knows. It may take a while for her to show you though and she needs to trust you, that's ok start slowly a little bit at a time. One day she will surprise you.

Well, it happened. We ended up in a stand-off with Jackie... She didn't want to go back in her cage, not even for treats... She wouldn't step up on a stick, or my arm... But at some point she lost her balance and flew off the cage and landed on the floor. My husband went over, told her to step up and she did!! But then she tried to fly again and landed on my pant leg, but he got her to step up again and finally got her back in her cage.

Yep it often starts Like that. As soon as they are off their safe spot they are willing to accept a little help. This is why taking them away from their cage helps on training. It becomes more normal as you go along.

Put a treat or a favorite food in her feed cup so she will go in on her own. Make sure she sees it first! lol.

I did... I showed it to her and put it inside and walked away, and previous times she would just go in and get it, but last night she just sat there lol

Hopefully I can get my husband to build her a roll around stand soon!

This morning Jackie let my husband pet her on the head... Inside her cage.
o_O
but if his fingers wandered too close to her face she would try to bite him.

That's great news.
Everyday you will make progress a little bit at a time. Keep working with her
You will have an amazing friend
