Treats for Training a Conure

What are some good treats for giving my Black Capped Conure when training him? He is 3 months old and my first bird. I want to make sure I feed him something that is special so it seems like a reward and also not too filling, and of course not unhealthy!

I use tiny, non oily sunflower seeds-ok, pieces of walnuts, pecans,almonds-good,
Since nuts are a major part of my diet, I buy in bulk(Costco) and freeze.

Try pine nuts... very high in protein. As mentioned.. almonds sliced or slivered... its got heart healthy omega 3 in it according to my vet.

Pine nuts. My Salty would write a novella for a pine nut.
Use 1/2 or 1/3 pine nut , smallest piece you can.
Salty ignores sunflower seeds and is OK with Walnuts.
He is so picky !

My black capped loves Safflower seeds more than anything. They are the little white seeds. There is a mix for African greys called safflower gold I think. It is great for treats. He will do anything for those white seeds.
