Hi all,
I just thought I’d share how I made todays birdie bread for the freezer as I was making chop.
If this isn’t allowed I will delete the post.
half a cooked mashed sweet potato - my dinner last night - previously I used 3 bananas
All the left over went weenie tiny bits from my chop and the juices that drained out.
half a cup of almond flour
tablespoon of poppy seeds
tablespoon of parsley
tablespoon of millet mix/finch mix
3 beaten eggs
The ground egg shells
half a cup of ground pellets
a chopped apple
half a chopped banana with the skin
a 2lb loaf tin. bake at 185 *C for 45 min. cut into half inch cubes and freeze.
you can add anything to this, like peas/pear/sesame seeds Etc.
It seemed a little dry so I added a splash of organic oat milk. (No sugar salt or preservative)
If it seems a little dry add some liquid, if it seems wet add oats or flax to thicken it.
I was going to add some desiccated coconut too, but I saw it had a preservative in it so I didn’t use it.
Hope this is of interest to someone. I don’t use any processed wheat flour - it really should be called, birdie safe baked loaf.
im open to comments and suggestions
