Green Cheek Conure
One more thing, I am not sure how much my bird is suppose to eat. He seems to eat alot. He takes a pellet, dips it in water, then eats it, and can he eat to much carrot. He loves carrots and that his treat, I was just curious if he could eat to much carrots.

Someone mentioned your bird looks to be overweight...

I know that we are supposed to feed a certain percentage of a birds weight, but you'll have to look it up (google)..

I feed my birds morning and night, when they would feed in the wild... I leave seeds and/or pellets for them during the day... but only a small amount.

An overweight bird is an unhealthy bird...

so I have been looking for the overweight comment, but I can not find it. I was just leaving a dish out for him to eat all day, like the bird breeder does.

Have you ever weighed him? Green Cheeks should weigh between 60-80 grams. Maxx my GCC eats constantly and he is always 65-66 grams when I weigh him.

Mine is 79g, but that's probably due to the breeder who fed him so much seed. Now he gets a small amount of seed with his pellets, none of which contain sunflowers or peanuts.

Poor fat parrot.

Do Sun Cap/Gold Cap Conures typically weigh more than that? I think mine is over 100G
