taking my bird out of their cage!

i have two budgies and they’re comfortable with me and i wanna let them out but i don’t know what they’re gonna do if i let them out. do i bring them onto my bed with me or leave them on top of the cage and see what they do? let me know please! thanks!

Hi, I see you're somewhat new here, welcome to the forums! We have a great community here. As for your question, just open the door and leave them be. It's important to let them explore on their own time, and rushing them may cause them to 'untame' themselves so to speak.

Here are some questions I just ask new members all the time to make sure everything is good, so I hope you don't feel singled out!

What's the cage size?
Diet?
Setup/perches?
Are they clipped?

their cage size is 30 x 18 x 18, im currently converting them to pellets. i feed them zupreem naturals and zupreem smart selects seeds, and chop daily. they have one dowel perch which i carved making it useful with texture, wooden perch, and outside the cage i made a diy play space with natural pear branches, and no they are not clipped.
