So last night my budgie flew away. All night I left evry window open put her cage outside & no RazBerry. I'm so scared 4 her did and could she make it in this cold weather? She was is my baby. Hope she will try 2 fly back. I hear they are really smart like that but I fear she's never been outside before. The craziness is that she just started saying her name like 3 weeks ago. It was sooooo cute like a baby they learn a word & don't stop saying it the just keep repeating the word. I don't want 2 sound like I give up but I have 2 tell my kids something. They going 2 b soooooo heart broken. Raz please come home? We love u tremendously & we wont stop look 4 u. I PROMISE!

Bird do still have some natural instinct, and more than likely if it was very cold out and dark, she hunkered down in a tree or bush somewhere for the night and probably hasn't strayed too far from where she got loose. Most birds can withstand a few nights in cold temperatures too, the bigger concern is not knowing how to find food for themselves.
I would start searching for her again this morning, especially when her normal wake up time is and/or it starts warming up and she would be more active. I would call all the local vets as well as animal shelters and give them a description of her and general idea where she was lost. Most likely if someone finds her, they will take her to a vets office or animal shelter, not come door to door looking for the owner. I'm really hoping Raz makes it home safely.
