I Sun Conure who hatched March 23. 2004. I adopted her on May 8, 2005
I had a Quaker Parrot named Nikki who lived for 19 years
I grew up with Budgerigars named Screech, Zoar and Blue Baby
I am on day 3 is using a sleek cage.

I am on break at work now and going out right afterward. I won’t be home until close to 9 and my birds go to bed at 6 or 7.

Is 9 too late to transport them to their sleep cage.

Sorry if this is a silly question. I am new at this stuff

I think every bird owner runs into this on occasion. Depending on the circumstances, I will either put them in their sleep cages before I leave (if I feel like I'm going to be very late), or if I'm only going to be an hour or two late then I'll just cage them when I get home and apologize to them. (Yes they will be mad at you for being late. Birds are like autistic children, and they love their routines.)

I tend to cover my birds at night, but if I am going to be very late (and so I left them in their sleep cages prior to leaving) then I leave them uncovered, so as to not disturb them since they are likely already asleep.
