Penny is sick, I've been holding back making a thread

Oh what a glorious sound that squawking must have been! Yay Penny!!! Now I know what quaker squawking sounds like. I went to the refuge yesterday for some supplies, and met a cute little green quaker, who bit me. Poor guy has a head covered in new pins and he was pretty grumpy because of it. It wasn't just me, he bit the owner too. Anyway, now I can hear that little Penny squawk from here! Way to go, little one! More healing vibes on the way hoping for continued, and complete recovery.

I'm so happy. But she won't come out for loving.....I want cuddles! Guess giving her meds yesterday has her mad at me....
She is still squinting , abd as I look over at her cage back sleeping. But she was clearly noticeable brighter and alert this morning!
Ohhh she just started talking!!!! Ugh went over to see if she would come out. She started screaming st me, which is fabulous, but uh yeah she us mad at me....
MAD which is great......but I miss our cuddling
She going be nuclear when I grab her for meds tomorrow! Lol

Yes! I guess the second dose she hit yesterday kicked in! She has clearly turned the corner now. And so MAD! I can not go near her without screaming!" She woke up feeling better, but decided im to blame!

She is not wanting to sit by the heat. So I moved it back farther from cage. So far still nit eating her normal food, still sleeping if im away from the cage.

My vet checked in. Bless her. No pain meds. But we may extend medicine past her last dose on Friday. She us very happy with progress, but originally thought this powerful medicine would have her 100% by today. Feels she was so sick that we were lucky to save her. And complimented my nursing skills which felt super good to hear. Next time she too will follow her gut and would have insisted I get meds that first evening I got in touch with her. She was laughing that Penny is so mad, it made her happy to know she felt that much better and energy to be mad.

Of course im so happy by this too. But dang it, I miss her, I want to hold her! She won't take foods from my hand now either, bites me. I have to put in her dish and back a way

So thrilled to see that Penny has turned a corner and is on the improve! How sweet of Cloudy to do his regular happy budgie thing and help to lift her spirits, budgies are just so great, aren't they? Give Ms Penny an extra skritch for me won't you, if she'll let you!

Penny had a set back. She did not scream and wake me.. She was fluffed next to heater. She won't eat, I got 1 pea into her when she has been eating 10, so I tried oatmeal, she ate one oat...wouldn't eat apple...so just now made her some egg her favorite, she did eat several bites if that.., but seemed to fall asleep between me feeding her bites, she wont come to the food bowl....

She has been eating so little, I don't if missing tge warm
