I just got word the breeder I was dealing with is less than honest.. this is why I haven't had contact with her in a week.. I am devastated.. I am over here in tears.. all I wanted was my bird.. I am now in the process of retrieving my deposit.. this makes me want to scream


As honest as I am why did I have to pick such a dishonest person to trust.. I feel stupid and I am ready to sell of this bird stuff and just give up!!!!!!:17::17:

What happened?

In a previous thread shyness mentioned that the breeder whom she had given a deposit for her DYH baby was located in Alabama. Alarm bells went off in my head because I know one "so called" breeder in Alabama with less than stellar reputation. So I contacted shyness via PM and asked if "this" person was the breeder she was getting Apple from. And it was.

I won't give out the name (against forum rules), but that person has been banned from 2 bird selling sites previously and also received bad feedback on birdbreeders before. So she changed the name of her establishment, got a new website, and re-registered with birdbreeders. She currently has ZERO feedback.

The reason this person was banned from bird selling sites was because folks had complained about either never receiving their bird and/or receiving a different bird than what they had gotten a picture of.

I should also mention that I have spoken with "said" breeder personally 4 years ago, shortly after losing my Quincy. She is VERY quick to take your money. She didn't know that there are different species of DYH Amazons. She would list birds with many cute pictures, and then emailed me pictures of totally different birds. VERY confusing.

And this person is NOT a breeder, but a flipper!

Not sure if you can get the authorities involved in this. But I'd suggest finding them on every breeder type forum/listing and just negative reviewing them if they're not providing the birds you paid for or giving you money back etc.

You can also contact "henpecked" on our forum. He is our Amazon guy. Why don't you send him a message and ask him if he knows anyone who currently has DYH babies.

Yeah , italked to that woman about 2hrs on the phone last year. She seemed clueless and i wondered how she was in the amazon business. I think she's in the northern part of the state. I wish someone would have asked, i would have told them to run. Anyway, PM me the details and i'll see what i can do. I 'm pretty sure i could find a DYH baby to handfeed if someone really wanted one.

Ohmygoodness....I'm so sorry!!! don't give up though! Your Apple is out there!! I'm a firm believer that things happen/don't happen for a reason- this is just a speed bump in your journey to find your Apple... Karma is a B and this lady will some day get what's coming to her!

Awww I m very sorry to hear about your Apple *hugs* Dont lose hope she's out there somewhere. I waited two years before getting my baby because of a similar situation, this time it worked out and I got my little Kiwi So there is hope, have a little faith

I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason.

We all learn by our mistakes, now you have help from here, to help you find your Apple that was meant to be with you.
He will mean much more to you because of everything you are going thru.

I hope for your sake you get your money back somehow.
