No need to worry about typos here! *hugs* I am sure it will all work out in the end, you have the Amazon King looking out for you! :41:

you guus have helped me sp.. this has been a very nerve recking day for me.. i am going to see if i can get her for internet fraud.. if not oh well.. it is just money it comes and go.... i just want my baby.. so i am back on the lookout... from now on i am getting references

I hope you get your money back and she gets what she deserves. With that said, the good things is you didn't pay anymore then you did and either received nothing or one very sick bird. Chalk it up to experience, and try and get your money back. So sorry.

You are leading me into temptation here, and it's only 6:30AM. That sounds SO SO yummy!!

Don't worry about any typos...nobody cares!

I know one thing. Now you can smile again because there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. :)

And don't be sorry for breaking down. I think it's probably a very good thing that it all came out. :)

HUGS!!

My first inclination is to believe that you probably got extremely lucky that you found out you got screwed BEFORE: A) you paid the rest of your money & B) that Apple might have turned out to be less than what the breeder promised. By that, I mean she could could have sent you a bird with personality or health problems that would have destroyed your expectations of being an Amazon owner.

So far you were in love with photos, maybe even videos. How much more would it have hurt if that bird came to you sick and you had to sufer through that.

OK, I know that may not be as uplifting as we would all like; however, your "Apple" IS out there and I'm sure the "support staff" will do whatever they can to make sure the ending to this story is a happy one.

**HUGS** Keep the chin up. It will all come together. I'm sure of it.

I only wish I had a spare baby Zon I could give you!

Forbey

YES!!! Make it brief and mean business. :)

Can I ask what actually happened?

Does she sell sick birds, wrong birds to what she advertised?

If she's giving you the information and updates about your birds I'm not understanding "what" the problem is?

Can someone please clarify. Is it just a case of this breeder having a bad rep and wanting to withdraw from your commitment with that breeder? I feel there is an elephant in the room and I'm just not seeing him!

Sorry! :21:

Depending on how much the deposit is would depend on if I want it back or not. A deposit is exactly that, a deposit on a baby and should you pull out from the agreement, the breeder keeps it as payment for 'wasted time' so to speak. Obviously she's denying other people having the bird (and thus losing money) because you wanted it and now don't. So like I said, depending on whats happened and how much it is would depend if I asked for it back or not.

But for the rest. Just say you are no longer willing to buy from her, apologies for reserving a bird (unless she has been truely horrible, in which case, forfeit the apologies!) and be done with it. :)

If she hasn't broken any part of your agreement then she doesn't owe you ,your deposit back. If you don't want to do business with her then you should be giving up your deposit, your the one breaking the deal. if you don't trust her, then chalk it up to a "history lesson" and move on. IMO i'd see what she has to say before breaking the deal.

Cat, this woman's reputation is atrocious - to say the least. She claims to be a breeder. Ok, she may have "some" breeder birds, but she is mostly a broker. Nothing against brokers...but why can't she be honest about WHERE she gets the enormous amount of babies she ALWAYS has on hands?

In the past the complaints against her were that people put down a deposit and never received their bird, OR they received a different bird than what she had sent pictures of.

Ok.. I was thinking that henpecked. I am just going to let her no I am no longer interested in one of her babies and move on from there... I want a healthy baby and I just don't feel right after all the info I have gotten

Was going to use Merlin as an example of a great bird that can come from a horrid breeder - then I remembered his splayed leg. :21:

I'd say see what she has to say, if you're not happy, call it off. Noone would think you silly for doing so.

I honestly don't know why I'm having my panties in a bunch over this as much as I do. I just know I don't want you (shyness) to get burnt or disappointed, or taken for a ride, or taken advantage of. :( I remember only too well when I was in your situation. I had to wait what seemed like forever to finally get my Hunter. The excitement was almost unbearable. I got incredibly lucky with my breeder. I want everyone to feel as lucky and happy as I was the day I brought my girl home. :)

My Sam was shipped to me from South Texas. I know the breeder, and never had any doubts about what I was getting. I trust her so much I never even asked for a single picture.

I feel HORRIBLE that you will most likely lose your deposit, but at the same time I feel relieved because I know you won't have a broken heart.

I am so sorry! I know how you feel, because the same thing happened to me. (Except it was my fault)
I had been visiting the bird I was going to get for a while and we put a deposit on him. We didnt contact them in time and they sold him. I was SO upset at that. I had become attached to him and I adored him. They said we could get another bird but I knew no bird could be better then the other one. But when we came a while later, I found Kirby. And he is a better bird for me then any other bird I could have found! ^-^
I am reallly sorry that you lost money though :( But it must have been meant to be, and you will find an even better bird because of it I bet!

Shyness - I wish you luck in getting a healthy & happy baby. you are in good hands with the folks on this forum. I would rather see you get a healthy baby then end up with the wrong bird, a sick bird or no bird! I think it will be worth losing your deposit if that has to happen!

Wendy - I've got my eye on you! Lol! Remember, best day yet.;)

this is crazy!...what a mess, I feel so badly for you.
depending on what the breeder says, I'm sure you haven't signed anything, so it's your word against hers.
getting your money back might be like getting blood from a stone.
like all the other members have said, wait to hear back from her then plan your next move :)
hopefully we can help you get out of this somehow !!

Heard from Howard, he only has 4 DYHs and they're all sold. Possible he could have more, but it's late in the season. I'll check a few other folks and see what's around that i can pick up and handraise.

I don't say this nearly often enough, Capt, but you are THE BEST!!! Thank you SO much for doing this for shyness. :)
