He looks healthy!

How much time does he spend on the perch? Looks as if he is looking for more toys to play with!

Think spend hours of time at perch mostly 6hr or more.. The perch got come calcium block to let her bite and chew, and also some net toys. Of cos the stand have toys, the cage either sure have!! Anyway she is a female bng!! Can't really determind her age?

If you don't know her age, then there's no getting a solid answer. She's full grown, and can't tell by teeth like with most dogs. I'd say age doesn't matter too much. If her and your friend get along that's all that's important. She will hit maturity eventually and start laying eggs.

Actually her feathers I see like not fully grow inside. Plus the wing also not grow fully, same feather like being pluck off due to some reason, and the tail very short!

The feathers could be due to molting, she only seems to be missing 1 or 2 tail feathers. The wings aren't full because I believe they are clipped from the pics I saw. Due to the lines on her face, her eyes and her beak I would say she is young, but that could mean 5 months..it could mean 18 months. You see my point? There's no exact science to looking at a Mac and knowing it's age, would be nice if they had rings like a tree..but they don't.

Yap I know! But for me I think below 6mths old. Reason she still act like a baby!!! Lol..

They all act especially like babies for several years, even after they reach mental maturity.. They still kinda act like infants..lol

Re: Need help in b&g macaw...

If possible try to get another perch on the playstand. Preferably natural wood. 6+hrs a day on a perch with consistent diameter is asking for arthritis and foot problems.

That was a sand perch, it's highly recommendation In Singapore

Sand perches are good for keeping nails back, but it should be in addition to natural perches available to the bird. Otherwise in 20 years you may have a bird that can't perch at all.

I dont mean to be rude.. but it seems like you don't appreciate the advice our members give you... I see that you have a lot of questions about your friends bng and you want answers.. but every time I see our members giving you advice you seem to reject it.. so whats the point of asking? Just saying!
