She looks happy!!

When i reach home Yesterday after my work the whole floor all mass up with pellets and seeds all... and water she taken almost half of the water there..

this is the poop which i try to handfeed him with Kaytee High fat Formula..

So can someone expert can tell me why the poop so wet??? she he eating well and slp well.. and active... So when will the poop get back normal????

Sloppy poop happens when big changes occur. You just got him. There are a ton of changes happening in his life right now. The poop can stay like this for 2-4 weeks until he starts to better adjust. As for the mess, welcome to owning a Macaw, that is actually quite minimal compared to my homewrecker.

I have a Cockatoo, not McCaw, but I have noticed too much fruit can give my bird watery poop.

Plus, are you sure your bird was not playing or splashing the water? Mine will do this sometimes as well.

So u mean this is a bird change for her, that why the poop all watery?? As for adult bng won't happen like this! Cos this baby bng was in bird shop for about 2days, after that my friend when to bought it. I have saw this baby bng was picking up pellets to eat, instead of sunflower seed. So my friend give this baby diets is pellets, nuts, and seeds! But there is no sunflower seed given. Just few time a week. I'm so worried for my friend! I do ask him being to vet check up, but he told me he will get back to ask the bird shop boss. Ask him why like this!

I had ask my friend to cut down her fruits and veggies for few days. And keep on update me the poop!

If playing water and splashing water sure won't be at the same spot which so nice place at the poop!!

Don't cut back the fruit and veg. and don't be so concerned about the poo. It will settle out.

The seed mix is another thing, you should cut that back and use only for treats.

As far as your water issue, it is not an issue at all. Macaws will make a mess and play in the water, a lot!!! When mine do that it means they want a bath. get a spray bottle full of water and give a good soaking or take in the shower with you. He will love it!!

No, it's not a defect, it's what makes your bird unique. He looks like a very beautiful baby and it doesn't look to be anything that's going to hinder him later on

Are you chaining this baby????? I know we've warned you of the dangers of using chains before.

Please, do NOT do it. :(

This baby bng belong to my friend! I'm just helping him to post and ask!!! Lasting the chain wasn't chain at the baby!! It's hook on a light weight toy, to let her chew!! Anyway the question here I'm asking not related to this!! But I still like to thanks you for replying here!! Thanks!!

Oh, I understand that's not what you were asking, however, if I (or anyone else) sees something that's potentially harmful, we DO have the right to speak our minds. This IS a public forum. :)

This looks totally normal to me! Parrots are messy, messy animals. The simplest way I can explain the poop- birds who eat mostly dry food have better formed poops while birds who eat lots of wet food have wetter poops. Doesn't mean fruit and veg is bad or that wet poop from fruit is bad either. Fruit IS healthy and your friend SHOULD keep feeding his bird lots of fresh fruits and vegetables every day. There is a difference between a poop from a bird who eats lots of fruit and one who is sick. Many also like to play in their water, attempt to take a bath or sometime just fling it for fun. Does the bird have any toys to play with during the day? Having other activities may keep him occupied playing ins tea of flinging all his food and water.

UNDERSTAND WHAT U MEAN. BUT WHAT I ASKING NOW IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT TOPIC. So can kindly reply the topic i asking on the bng???
Just about every reply on this thread has answered your question to the best of our ability. We are not veterinarians, and we can't see the bird in person. I don't know what answer you're looking for, but you've received very logical responses to your question.
Big life changes cause this
Change in diet cause this
Lots of fresh watery foods cause this(not a bad thing)
And Macs play in their water and food

If the stool remains watery, despite only eating seeds and nuts, then I would certainly have the bird checked out by an avian vet, especially if your friend is worried about his baby.

update my friend baby BNG here... He had Send to Vet, and Dr Lee had look at his BNG. Dr saw he doing fine, and healthy actives bird. Ask my Friend not to worries too much.. And its a changes on Diets, places due to stress on the bird. That why the Poop wasn't good. And he had send in the Poop for Check. No sick, no disease, and no cancer!!! 100% healthy.. Just Diarrhea... Dr Lee provided two type of Medicine for the baby. 1 is mix with water need to take for 3weeks time. other 1 is watery white color medicine, which need to take Syringe to pump inside the mouth to let him take.. After the result with those medicine had being taken..

Here the Medicine my friend will update share.

The new Droppings after given the med for 1 day and result...

Ok. Here is what I can add . . . .

I am NOT a VET.

However, why did Dr. Lee prescribe these medications if 100% healthy?

1. Doxyvet is an antibiotic
2. Kaolin is an anti-diarrhial

The answer probably is to try to clear up something the bird may (or may not) have. Only Dr. Lee can answer this question and since Dr. Lee prescribed these meds, a fair one to ask. Your friend should speak with Dr. Lee again and ask this question.

Please let us know how it goes.

Problem now is what he give he follow the dr lee instruction.. The bng is just diarrhial.. Sound like u saying this bng wasn't healthy right? Rather then just small diarrhial..

If bring vet it's free, I think my friend will always bring to vet ask Dr for the bird condition!!!
