Yay, today was baby time! And baby was, of course, sooooo adorable today.

S/he was still VERY loud like last week, squawking every few seconds for no reason anyone could determine.

I got this cute video of baby deciding s/he didn't want to be in my lap, but up on my shoulder.

After s/he got up there s/he tucked that little head right under my chin and decided to fall asleep. S/he squawked the whole time s/he was falling asleep, just getting softer and softer and with longer pauses in between. You can hear him in this video still making soft little noises. S/he was grinding that little beak right in my ear (surprised I could still hear it after all the noise it was treated to :p) and it was just... sooooo cute and sweet.

And a pic of baby asleep on my shoulder.

After a bit baby woke up and was squawking in my ear again.

And here's a pic of baby awake.

I tried to move baby back down to my lap after this 1) to take a few pictures and 2) to save my poor ear, but baby wasn't having it and climbed back up me to yell in my ear s'more.

Aww that is so cute. She's so adorable! and that Blue and Gold is pretty cute too ;)

What a lovely baby, but gosh I hope for the sanity of you and your family she doesn't keep up the squawking! Haha!

Is that your voice in the first video that says 'that was so nice of you to bring all that for me'? I love LOVE that southern states accent! If I could find a man with that southern drawl I'd marry him in a second.

Thanks Timothy :)

And haha, tell me about it! Eighty years of that might get old.

It's funny you say that about the accent. That was me talking (a lovely couple brought pictures for me and a coupon for a bird store), but I am actually from Connecticut. Mostly I around like a yank, but I went to boot camp in Missouri and had a southern accent for a while. And I swear sometimes I sound Minnesotan because of hubby's family.

No Kidding! How funny. Maybe it's something in your intonation or turn of phrase that made you sound southern to me. I don't sound Canadian at all but when I go home, people mistake me for being Canadian/ American because my turn of phrase and expression is so north american.

incidentally Minnesotan is another accent I adore!

Beyond jealous. I thought for a second that she was actually just snoring on you and my heart was cooing. Can't wait for you to bring her home, that face is way too cute !

How darling!!! Your poor eardrums though. LOL.

I got to see my baby Hahn's macaw yesterday as well. He made the cutest little kazoo sounds. I'm told he'll probably stop making those after he is weaned though. :(

Oh my gosh, I'd love to hear a little kazoo-Hahn's! You should get a video ^_^ Plus, then you'll be able to listen to your little kazoo whenever you want, even if he outgrows it.

I hope baby outgrows that squawk O.O! But I'd sure love to keep the little sleepytime noises, and definitely keep the tucked up under my chin part :D

I don't know why I didn't get a single picture or video while I was there. Probably because the breeder always gives me pictures, even one that day, so I didn't feel the need. I should have got the video though. I'm gonna ask her if she can try to get one for me because that is a very good idea.

I actually have this crazy idea that I might regret though. I have this kazoo-sounding squeaker from a dog toy that sounds exactly like Fozzie did. If Fozzie stops making the sound, I'm considering reteaching it to him. :p

At the very least I'm sure your baby will squawk less. LOL. I don't think you have to worry about the snuggling ending any time soon. I'm wondering if you should just name him/her Cuddlebug now. :)

You just have to teach him to play awesome kazoo music with his birdy talents!

I'm thinking of naming baby Siren because I'll need earplugs to survive!

ROFL. It would be so funny to teach him a short kazoo song. Something a little simpler than the video....maybe a lot simpler like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star... :p

Siren is an awesome name! I really hope for your sake he/she doesn't feel the need to live up to the name though. :30:

Oh my gosh, I'm cooing and cahing over those precious videos and photos. WHAT a super cutie your baby is! :D So very lovable!

Sure brought back a whole lotta memories for me, too (with my Niko). :)

LOL this is hilarious! With my B&G i whispered in her ear since she was a pin feather baby, and she whispers a lot now instead of screaming. BIG Plus! they really love when you whisper in their ear's too, it makes them all snuggly

If the conure spot is inside your shirt with the head sticking out, the macaw spot is tucked under your chin pressed up against you...

Get used to it. You'll be getting this one for somewhere around the rest of your life! Seriously... that's how these birds are if you handle them. The biggest problem with these guys is they simply don't get handled enough...

I love the last photo. That is the blissed out, self satisfied smug of a true Birdy mom! You can only have that kind of smile with a baby bird snuggled into you! Congratulations! Beautiful baby!

S/he is SO ADORABLE!!!!!!!! *squeals with cuteness overload* love the little wing flap s/he does after you take your hand away, tehe.
