Mishka and Sterretjie - braai the SA way!

I forgot to ad that I made some snacks for Mishka and Sterretjie as well. Cut up apple, papino, blue berries, raisins and mustard stems.

I have to give Sterretjie 3x more than what she can eat because she picks it up with her beak, eat and then it falls to the ground. She cant hold it with one foot like other parrots. Mishka did not know what to do with all the food, it was quite a shock to her. She is such a neat eater, picks up the apple and eats it until it is finished.

We had so much fun, it was amazing.

Extremely busy now, at a later stage, I am going to tell you all about and "Birdieventure"

Mishka was in heaven, being offered all the above in one go.
It's amazing just how Sterretjie manages to eat her food. She picks at her food, with her beak, like a little woodpecker, only managing to take it little bits each time. But such a busy body, she NEVER sits still

How did Mishka and Sterretjie get along?

After they felt assured we went outside to the swimming pool and set Mishka and Sterretjie up. They did not hit it off, they viewed each other as a bird of different feathers and were happy to just look at each other from a distance.
Sterretjie was on her play ring on the stoep and believe it or not, she was singing away!
Mishka definitely had a good effect on her! She must have thought that mommy was going to replace her if she did not poop that metal out fast!

Anyway, Mishka REALLY had a good effect on Sterretjie because she's been singing, playing and hardly sleeps during the day now. She's going to the Vet today for the 'hopefully' last x-ray.
