Meet Solomon

Meet Solomon, I just got him today, he is 11 years old
My Pastor has had him since he was weaned. Unfortunately he has not been able to devote attention to Solomon for the last couple years. So he ask me last Sunday if would take him... I said of course. Solomon is a closet talker.
I am hoping to get him to talk more. He has been chirping and made some clicking sounds. He did growl at me when I opened his cage to take a couple of pictures. I have him in the dinning room and Abby is in the living room. I am thinking I will give he a couple of weeks to adjust and then move him into the living room to be with me and Abby.

What a handsome guy. Who knows, he might be more outgoing with another bird in the house. I've noticed that seems to help them out when they see how great life is for the other guy.

Thanks to all for the kind words... He has all ready making sounds just like answering machine when a message is finished.
I think he is very smart.
One thing I have noticed is that his eyes have not dilated when I have gotten close to his cage or offered him a treat.
