Thats great news! Thank you for keeping us all in the loop, as you can see, we love the birds and this one is special (they all are but this one being so uncommon gets all of our interest).

You are welcome as I'm a parrot lover here.. what make you feel so special on mealy amazon???

The Great Mealy:

1. They are Rare!
2. They are an Amazon and that really is near everything!!!
3. Mealys have a know history for being Gentle and Laid Back in their Nature!

At this point, this is all a waste of your time! You need to spent one-on-one time with this Mealy at the Pet Shop and see if the Mealy likes you!!! If he will Step-Up for you and sit on your arm for an extended amount of time! Introduce yourself to him, i.e. talk to him.

Also, print a copy of the second Thread in the Amazon Forum regarding Understanding Amazon Body Language (highlighted in Light Blue) and get a chair and sit next to this Mealy and Read Aloud to him! This will help in developing a comfort in the Mealy with your voice and you will learn to understand Amazon Body Language. Your young Mealy will not have all the Body Language fully in place, but it will allow both of you important time together!
