Yes, Scottie is the older brother (hatched May 9, 2020) and Louie is the baby (hatched May 11, 2020). Scottie is also the alpha male and always controls Louie and he force feeds him by bobbing his head up and down to then locking Louie’s beak in his own and regurgitating all of that nutritious food that I feed them back down into Louie’s crop. It’s hysterical to watch Louie complain about it and then he flies away from Scottie to the safety of my bed. Or he will fly directly to me and stay on my head or shoulder. Sometimes Scottie will take off after him and join him on me if he feels like it. But Louie’s the bigger and more powerful bird with the more muscular and stockier body, whereas Scottie is taller and has a longer neck and smaller head. Scottie looks like the mommy and Louie looks like the daddy. It’s really amazing to watch them and they have totally different personalities. I have included a picture of my great little housekeeper who also loves birds and has a Green-Cheeked Conure. Scottie and Louie are both used to her cleaning their cage and being around on a weekly basis.Have you always been able to tell Scottie and Louie apart, even when you first got them? Two of my budgies, both normal blue males between 8 and 10 months old, are looking more and more alike since they matured. Tiki is slightly smaller than Baja and is missing one of his back facing toes. Their behavior is different in some respects.
