She actually does really well for a clipped birdie, only the first 4 primaries came off. She flies up on top of a 2 metre tall wooden screen just fine, no climbing required. Anywhere long-haul she just flies it in stages. Won’t be long before those feathers grow back and she’ll be a little green supersonic missile just like her predecessor Sludge was!

Hiya gang, I thought it was about time for some more Princess Lilly cuteness... so we have

Figure a) pretty much her favourite pastime - playing with Daddy and his glasses which is all in good fun until she tries to rip his eyelid off ...

and figure b) Snoozing after a solid afternoon trying to either rip her daddy's eyelid off or get inside his ear which is her other favourite pastime :)

Never a dull moment in our house these daze, unless Lilly is snoozing of course ...

Missed the last few pages, but now I'm all caught up! I LOVE this thread! Crown Princess Lilly is beautiful! And I've fallen even deeper in love with her after the video you posted. Count me a fan!

Lilly says to say “thank you uncle Stephen”, I’m so impressed with how far she has come from the terrified little scrap that she was when she first came home to where she is now (all her own effort I can assure you!) The only household member she has yet to win over is Fang, she’s just too hyperactive for his liking.

FINALLY after 3 months of having Lilly home, and at 6 months of age, she has dropped one of her trimmed flight feathers and hopefully she'll drop and regrow the rest too in the coming months! Although she flies quite well it does seem to take a lot of effort to stay aloft with the clipped feathers, she has to put in a mighty effort to get anywhere and I'm so looking forward to her getting her natural abilities back (can't say the same for Fang though, his only option is to outrun her but it won't be long now!)

My little girlie is growing up

Meanwhile here is a picture of La Principessa doing her second favourite thing which is snoozing. She had the choice of several dozen softer, cooler, comfier places to have a nap, but no, she plonked herself down on my drinkie table beside my couch and prompty fell asleep. Fang and I agree on one thing, let the sleeping bird lie cos then we get 5 minutes peace!

Nitey nite sweet Lilly, and dream of the day when you will soar like a little green missile!

I am in love with your Princess :smile015:

It looks to me like she is plucking Daddy's eyebrows, grooming him so he looks his very best!
hahaha

Yep she’s your basic lorikeet alright, either going 1000mph and into everything, or zonked out snoozing. And Tami, her daddy sure makes some painful yelps when she “grooms” him, he is suffering for his beauty treatment!

Crazy Lilly was recently fortunate to receive a gift from one of her aunties (thank you!!) and happily she LOVES IT (Val and Fang agree, it gives them a break!)
