I did actually consider painting Cell instead, but Frieza looks a little more 'child-like' and less creepy-looking than Cell.

***Shaking head in puzzlement*** I "think" I've heard one of my brothers mention Dragon Ball Z but don't think I've actually seen it. Perhaps I should check it out?

Even if I don't know who Cell or Frieza is I DO KNOW that you are very talented Liana!!

Haha yeah, it's very much a 'Boys' show..but I love it! Probably only because I loved the original Dragon Ball.. One of my favourite characters is Vegeta...he is kind of a jerk though..lol.

Haha.. hmm...might have to work that in somehow.. The 'barrel' part of the body I did to somewhat resemble a greyhound... *overworks my little brain*

Wow again!! I love this one :11:! It's such a treat to see your new artwork. I love the detail of the muscle/tendons that you can see under the skin in the tail ..and those feet... Oohh!!

HEHEHE thanks Julie! yes! That was the best part of drawing it! Had so much fun to think it started as a horse-ish head doodly-sketch of boredom... I KNOW! I LUFFS THE FEET!

Hahaha thank you! I actually got furious when i first saw Avatar.. I could have sworn someone went through all my sketches and my mind and stole all my ideas etc and put them in a movie!!! Was SO angry!.

Then i got over it and realised it was pretty awesome to see my creatures 'alive' and in action. Those dog-things (forgot the name) look EXACTLY like one of my old creature-creations! I've always wanted to do creature/character design for movies..but you kinda need billions of qualifications for that...

Love it, Kinny! Very interested in watching the progression to finished painting! I also cosign on Apple's idea of calling it a Vidra. To incorporate the greyhound aspect, you could call it a Vidra hound. Sounds rather sinister.

Particularly in a fantasy figure, IMO it's what makes it a portrait of something "real" as opposed to an exercise in combining body parts from different things which would be done with photoshop. It's what gives it life and makes you want to look at it.
