Kings Cages won't be here in time !

Oh she is pretty ! They are so fun to watch , lolol.
I can just sit back with some popcorn and watch them for hours.
When my guy does that I call it "Yoshi getting his freak on" :p
I can read the excitement in your emails , lolol.
I'm happy for you :):)

She's saying right now, "you my baby" ! ah,.....

Yep, we're all happy, even "Major" our boxer loves her because he'll wait for Shelby to throw out a piece of food on the floor to him. lol

I haven't had to vacuum the carpet where her play stand is in the living room.. Guess we should have named him "Hoover".

I forgot to say. The last few days I've been using a new spray bottle to give her a bath, then yesterday I put a 2" of water in the bathtub and slowly lowered her into it. She didn't bathe herself, so I would cup water in my hand and splash some on her. She did great and wasn't afraid.

I need to buy or make a PVC shower stand.

Hoover , lololol. I know the feeling , my dogs know the sound of the birds food hitting the floor and it's a scramble who gets there first , lolol. I really think they find it amusing and realized they control the dogs actions with their food throwing....so when they want some action , they toss food down and both of them watch intently who gets what...I wouldnt doubt the birds make little wagers on what dog gets there first , lololol. When the cat walks by , they both give her the stink eye :) But she really couldnt care less , she just likes to bat around the nuggets that hit the floor before the dogs scoop them up. What a nut house :)
I'm going to try offering them a small pan of water on top of the cage and see what they do with it...I havent tried to bring them into the bathroom yet...
That's wonderful that she accepted being in the tub ! For the first time in there she did fabulous ! Good for you :) No question you are enjoying her :)

hehe, quite the kids you have.

"I wouldn't doubt the birds make little wagers on what dog gets there first". That's funny !

They all USE each other for their own needs. I think our birds say,.."stupid DOGS" lol !

We can not be happier and more proud of Shelby. She's doing amazingly,....well after only 4 days !
Patty's always asking if I've bought her this & that yet, she nneds more toys, that food, etc...... Sure, and I'M,..... the one that's babying her ! lol !!!

I wish my engine builder was done recording the build, so I could record Shelby. It's funny that when she picks up a piece of "Nutblend" food, she has to dunk it in water first ! hehe....

I think the birds look at all the other animals as pests , lolol.
I tend to look at them ( when theyre in the house ) as little dust busters :)
How can you not baby them ? Its so rewarding , isnt it ?

My husband has always wanted a Citron and I had my eye on a Bare Eye , it was extrememly hard to walk away from , but the time wasnt right.
We will see what happens in the future..but like I said , we have room for Shelby :)

"Yoshi getting his freak on"

My neighbor just read this and he laughed his @ss off. !!! :D

Oh , when he gets his freak on , its hysterical all right , lolol.
That is when he can get loud , but Im too busy laughing to even hear him yelling , lolol. They can really crack me up sometimes , lolol.

Did you see the videos of the Pixie the toucan on Utube ?
How cute is she ? OMG ! We actually considered them but I liked the Hyacinth more....so thats where we are now , I am adamant that I want one....so when that time comes , I will be shopping for toys in the hardware stores , lolol.

I had the crazy idea of using zip ties to configure a sort of playgym for my guys. I have lots of Beach limbs so I stuck a few into the cages and tied them . Now that they are stable and sticking out of the cages and I figure I can hook their ropes and toys onto them....
Its a work in progress , and my husband says it looks like a tree exploded in the family room  but who cares ! I sure dont :)
Now I jsut want to sit back and watch the show :p
Its not like I was going to leave the family room like that :54:

My front room is starting to not be a room for people anymore! With 3 cages and 3 play gyms, it's getting to truly be a bird room.

And I bet you dont mind one bit , its just everyone else , lolol.
My truck used to smell with horses back when I had my horse and when i would have non horse people in it , they would say "what the heck stinks in here" and i would say , what smell , i dont smell anything , lolol.
Along with the shavings and other stuff that accumilates on the floor ...
But put a dirty gym bag in my truck and i will toss it right out the window because it stinks ! lolol.

lol,....

YOU NEED TO GET THEM ON VIDEO !!! :D

The gym plans sound great and you're right, to hell what it looks like, let'em have fun !

I did see Pixie and she's cool. We've always loved the Hyacinth and it's color. We've never seen one face to face, until we visited a rescue in Omaha Ne. We went to look at a Umbrella, but when I opened the door and looked to my left, I said "No way,....you have a Hyacinth" !!!!
He went right onto my hand. She even took him outside to show Patty (she was car sick) and it was amazing. She's babysitting it for a friend and told me she paid only 3k. I see most are between 6k-20k, but man, what a beautiful bird that God created ! (Shelby Too) lol

I'm in the process of building a new 427 side oiler engine for our 1966 Ford 427 Shelby Cobra (hence the name Shelby, for our Too). But, the engine builder has my camcorder to record the build for three magazine's, youtube and other car websites. I wish I had it now ! lol

Shelby is getting a little more loose & comfortable. In my office here at home is where her cage is, I got onto youtube and her favorite song's so far, is Elvis's "Jail House Rock" and second is The Beatles "Twist & Shout". She twists her head is a "s" shape or moves her head back & forth with her yellow crest up. lol

Here's a pic of ther Cobra. Want to see more photo's and listen to it on video, let me know and I'll post links.

Hey ! That model needs some clothes on ! lololol.
Nice car , wow , I love the color , but i think if you had Shelby modeling on it it would be nicer , only kidding ;)
So , Shelby gets her freak on listening to Elvis and the Beatles , very cool
My Goffin and the Galah hasnt had any reactions to music !
I find that a little strange , but I guess maybe in time...Ijust hope they dont like Country , nothing against it , but its not my favorite :p

Pearl only likes 3 singers.Adele,Mariah Carey, and I didn't know lady gaga was on the radio one day and I walked in to find Pearl chirping and squawking and dancing around lol.

Pete loves opera, which me and Rowdy hate, lol! I put some on once in awhile, but I've been trying to get him into my music. Anything I sing to him seems good though.

Harbor Freight has one that measures in grams for only $17. You would have to build it a little perch though if she won't just stand on it. I'm going to pick one up next time I'm in that area.

I want to get one too. Its a very improtant item to have on hand.

Hum....?

Who's it made by ?

I buy products from them quite a bit, but most of the time in life, you get what you pay for. Especially for a scale that needs to be of high quality and measures exactly in grams etc.
