Kings Cages won't be here in time !

Your mom was very lucky !

In short-

At two years old, I was running into the kitchen, slipped and fell head on into the corner of the refrigerator. I cracked my skull and was in a coma for 6 days. Since then, I have a bad headache, to a migraine to worse 24/7. I have a pain scale from 1-10 to inform family, friends & my doctors. The worse part of it is very hard to explain, but since a child, I've called them "the zaps". I have them all the time, even with I feel pretty well. From 2 to 4 I'm ok, but at 5-6 I had better stop what ever I'm doing, take my meds, hot shower, ice and be in a small quiet & dard room.

If you think back to the mad scientist movies when he's arching electricity between to metal balls, and the arc sounds like, "zzz-ap, z-ap, zzzzzz-ap". It drives me nuts ! I can't see, talk or communicate, and admittedly, ball & scream my eyes out. I'm not afraid much in life, but that pain scares the hell out of me. When I get to level 7, I know it's coming and there's nothing,....I can do about it.

With my recent anti-seizure meds & hydrocodone, it has gotten better. I know having a Too sounds crazy, but just like with my other hobbies that are loud, I just have to endure it to make my life fun and enjoyable !
I could easily just sit on the couch and watch TV all day, but what kind of life is that ! Having fun and being with family & friends is what life is all about !

I can only say OMG ! That is the worst thing I have every heard !
You poor thing ! I can only imagine the pain you must experience during those migrains..

"Just when you think you have it bad , someone has it much worse and if they can carry on , so can you".

My Mother always said that to me and boy was she right !

The pain of a migrain is nothing to joke about , for sure.
I tried all the migrain meds and nothing seemed to work for long.
I just have to succumb to it and hold on till it passes.
Sometimes throwing up a couple times a day is normal when in the grip of one. And not being the best person you can be , but hell , if someone is dumb enough to bother me during one of them , you dug your own grave , lolol.

On a lighter note , yes , being around family , friends and your beloved pets are what makes life worth sticking around for :)
I can totally relate to having a cockatoo when you are prone to having these monster headaches , I have one ! lolol. And I wouldnt have it any other way :)
Hearing Yoshi in the morning is what tells me life is good , get up and enjoy the day ! Then the dogs start , then the cat.....life is going to happen with or without you , so you better get up if you want to be part of it :)

The one migraine trigger I can't control is weather. Low barometric pressure gets me every time. So if it is raining/snowing within a few hundred miles of me, I will have a migraine. So that can be as often as 5 days a week.

I also kept a diary for awhile of food and found some things. If I eat too much fruit other than pears, I will get one. Peaches seem to be the worst one. Also sulphites. No dried fruit or meat, and I have to read ingredient labels carefully. All of the sugar substitutes like in diet pop.

Flashing lights will trigger them as well.

Yes !! Low barometric pressure does it to me all the time...my husband figured that out for me....funny thing , it upsets one of my Border Collies too ,so that's when i know a migrain will be coming on soon...

Funny how different things can trigger them...I found that certain salts I use can do it do...kosher salt I found gives me headaches , go figure !

I could also never tolerate American beer or wine due to sulphites. So I need to make sure there is no wine in salad dressings, or sauces.

Have you guys tried drinking caffeine ?
Some headache sufferers say it helps.

I've attended several pain sufferers clinics and I was a guest speaker at a couple. I won't do it anymore because I was always the main person that was spoke about, so I didn't think it was fair to all the others. The doctor said that's what they need, because of the amount of pain I have and for such a long time, and also my positive attitude and outlook on life. But,...talking with 20 to 300 people as my pain is worse than yours,.... it just makes me too uncomfortable. There's much worse out there than me !

Like you said, there's always someone that has worse problems than you. We have to stay grounded to that. Something that today is almost "normal" or "common place", is divorce with children. If Patty divorced me (we can't have children) that would be bad enough, but not being able to see mt child but maybe once a week or every other weekend, would KILL MY SPIRIT !!!

I know a woman that was born blind. Can you imagine not knowing what anything,.......looks like !!! Wow !
She doesn't know what we look like, animals, sunsets,... to Gods beautiful earth.

There's all kinds of examples, but we just need to live the best life we can, until we're graced at Heavens Gates.

Life is what you make of it. :D
