July 2019 POTM Contest

Just for fun! Peanut (L) and Popcorn (R) in harmonious times. They were represented as wild-caught and in prior owner's custody for 12 years when I purchased them in 1987. Moved them to this flight cage with nest box circa 1993 where they had three live births, all hand-fed when abandoned after 2 to 3 days. Male aggression surfaced around 2007 and they were eventually permanently separated. Peanut tamed beyond my wildest expectations and lives with two of her offspring. Popcorn is extremely happy paired with my Citron. Both extremely healthy and active considering they are in their mid 40s.

Scott, thank you, thank you! One of my all time favorite stories and a photo of Peanut and Popcorn! I love the power couple and their beautiful kids. I’m so glad both Peanut and Popcorn found a happy future after the great celebrity breakup. All the years you’ve shared your home with your wonderful flock is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing the sweet photo and story.

Hi there everyone! Merlin has been a handful lately and not really been playing with his toys, guess hes looking for some new toys. He still likes to play, but recently has loved singing.
That's right!! Merlin SINGS!! Mainly to Loretta Lynn. What can I say, he has good taste. But its absolutely amazing to hear this rescued weirdo singing!! Especially since hes only been with me 2 months.
Here he is, laying down watching a movie with his mommie today. He loves being on the chair with mom.

Cairo will be celebrating 1 year with us next month! We won't be able to celebrate that day since it's also National Day here in Singapore. He's only 20mo, and we're so happy to have actually found out his hatch date

His absolute favourite time of the day is when he goes "fly-fly". And he knows how to talk about it too
"Cairo, do you want to go fly-fly?" "FLY-FLY!!!", or
"Fly-fly?" "No, Cairo, we can't go today.." "SQUARK!!!" *angry mutters
