My Blue and Gold is new to me and my wife he dosent care to much for my wife but he lets's me do anything but get him out of cage he's only been here a little over a week what is the usual time for them to settle in we have a gray but this mccaw is total different then him he'not mean just a baby any ideas

about a week with constant attention before they start to feel comfortable with their new home / owners / surroundings.. When I say a week, I'm talking about visiting them at least every hour while you're home. You can always wheel his cage around room to room with you. Believe it or not, but including birdy in your day to day activities (like doing the dishes) will actually bring him out of his shell VERY quickly. Good Luck!

we do and hes getting better with me but still not that sure about wife tolerates her but not like he does me
