greenwing...this is a great idea...maybe we could start a new thread on who's available to look after our fids when we are away.

It's extremely difficult to find good qualified help these days

Happy to hear that the the "Nanny" worked out well for you and that you enjoyed your vacation. Planning a trip and finding someone to properly care for your fids or other pets can be a migraine headache itself. I'm very fortunate my brother lives nearby and I take my bird over to his home. When I do pick him up, he is still happy and content. I think of it as a little vacation for the bird as well.
