She doesn't suspect any illness. It took a long time for Rosie to get feather dust and she thinks she's acting different because she's not used to it and it can be irritating. Rosie's ears were perfect, clear nostrils, her heart sounded good, breathing good, poop looks good, she said she's a good weight and it's fine that she's a little lean. She said for Rosie's health history she seems to be doing really good.Did the vet suspect anything at all???
All the symptoms that I saw were very slight, but I was so worried! I know how well birds hide illness and I was terrified of the symptoms getting worse. Finding out that it's most likely just her getting used to her own dust is great. I' feeling pretty confident now that the rest of the testing will come back good, but we won't know until it's done.
That's good to know, I only my heard the clicking the one time for about 15 seconds. I hope your vet turns out to be fantastic, having a vet you trust makes a huge difference. So glad she's doing ok.. <3 I heard Jacob click when I first got him too just a couple of times, and Ihave reptiles when they click its also URI so that's when I ran him to the vet. However same thing, feather dust, not uncommon at all apparently. He said that if clicking occured more regularly that then I should worry more. a click here and there is normal.. I hope the test comes back negative and what a knowledgeable vet you have. Mine is really good with reptiles and he's an avian specialist but I've never needed to utilize him within parrot situation yet I hope hes as good as yours.. I was very impressed with that!
I love Rosie's avian vet and trust her judgment completely. she loves birds and is a wealth of information. I learn something new everytime I go. It's also a bird only vet, if something is out of character they know right away because they're examining birds daily.
