Last year ....on Mother's Day...9:07 pm ....may 10 2015...
Doolie died.
He was 21 years old roughly
My heart hurts today.
I really miss him.
I called him my little vanilla bean becuz his pellets and his favorite treat..nilla wafers made home smell like vanilla. He loved to sing, and I loved dancing around him. And when he really really wanted something he would say "I love " and in a rare occasion " here kitty kitty" every morning he would say..all excited "good morning!!" He loved to bite and never learned to fly,so he walked everywhere, contact calling me.."hey dad! What are you doing!"
Damn his old owners for cutting his life with me short!
I did however get sissy out of it and she is my whole world.
Pictures are on my profile
P.s. He also got pet of the day on petoftheday.com
Thanks for reading
I've been looking so long at these pictures of you, that I almost believed they were real....the cure

Those anniversaries can be so hard:( My heart is hurting for you:(

My heart goes out to you. Once in a blue moon we come across a soulmate, whether it be a human or animal. I understand, and I do know what that's like. Doolie is truly irreplaceable. But by looking at his pictures, it evokes a powerful emotion that touches your heart and brings comfort through precious memories.

I saw the title of this and I'm relieved that Sissy is okay!

We are so lucky to have friends such as our birds. They leave such a big hole when they go. I am so sorry you lost your beloved. I hope with each passing anniversary, you are left with more of the good and less of the sorrow.

Oooh I'm sorry about the title...sissy is more than ok...sitting next to me right now,I'm playing with her tongue and she's laughing. Thank u for the kind words.

Crying with you ...my hesrt goes out to you...anniversaries are tough but take comfort from the fact that Doolie is never far from your side and is now the Angel that flys with you and Sissy watching over you alwsys and Blessing and comforting you in your sorrow from Rainbow Bridge:smile016:

I am sorry, Maria. One year is still so early in the grieving process for someone so precious as Doolie. That you are able to discuss your loss and recall so many wonderful memories is helpful. While never a replacement, Sissy will be a great comfort for you.

Maria, I'm so sorry. My thoughts are with you on this sad anniversary. I'm glad you have Sissy and wonderful memories of Doolie to comfort you.

So sorry. The first anniversary is so hard. Kiss and cuddle Sissy while you remember your precious Doolie and all the joy he brought to your life.

Yet again... it's the best I have to offer. I say this to everyone I meet who is experiencing a loss. It was in a sympathy card when my Mother passed, and it stuck with me. The message was... "May the pain of losing her soon be outweighed by the joy of having had her in your life."
