How do you give an agressive Zon treats?

I used sunflower seeds for training (even though he ate them every day).. Almonds were also well-liked. I also used to buy this fruit-based "parrot candy" at Petsmart... He likes the banana flavored ones best.

Did you use the coated sunflower seeds? I didn't find the "parrot candy" at Petsmart. At least not at the one near you.

I'm not sure what you mean by coated, but I just used plain old sunflower seeds in the shell.

The "candy" I used was in this bag (they have different types of mixes, but I believe it was this specific one):
Brown's® Extreme! Spicy Santa Fe Parrot Treat

The bag had these colorful gummy pieces of fruit and that's what I call the candy. I'd use a knife to slice each piece into several little ones so I could just treat him a little bit of it instead of the entire thing (it probably isn't the healthiest thing in the world). The bag also included various nuts, chili peppers and pieces of uncooked pasta. One bag lasted me quite a while as I only used it to reward him.

Thank you. I am so glad that you check the site. ;)
He is doing well. Loves being out of the cage. Still doesn't do more than squeak.

I tried to video record Buddy doing his happy, fluffy dance last week. I was going to post it for you but when I pulled my phone out he unfluffed. He was happy, tail all fluffed out, body fluffed out, cheeks fluffed out, eyes pinned tight, walking back and forth on the perch, whistling and purring. When he walks all fluffed its a slow strut, cracks me up! Husband gets grief from Buddy, we say "Buddy went Amazon on Husband", lol. Buddy is cage territorial with husband and everyone but me. We leave his cage open and he comes out on his own but husband now recognizes when he's in a bad mood from a good mood. Buddy will try to bite him but once husband has a treat, truce, he takes the treat gently but most times he takes it from him and throws it down, lol!! You're doing good, it takes time.
