Hi everyone

Hi, I am new here. I belong to a couple of animal forums...horses,reptiles..etc. We have a 7 yr. old umbrella cockatoo,male, named "Bugsy". We are at least his second or third (or more??) owners. He loves me and my children but not my husband. He is VERY LOUD...OFTEN!! I would welcome some help there. We also have a baby (15 wks.) Blue and gold macaw....of course it is adorable. It loves everyone....It grabs my ankle and says "up"...I think. We have a number of pets but have the time it takes for them too. It's fun to be here.Thanks

Welcome!!!! You have two great birds there. Cockatoos in general are pretty loud birds. I have a moluccan that clucks like a chicken at very high decibels. The blue and gold will probably chime right in when he gets a little older. The joys of owning birds. But they are worth it. Good luck and enjoy your guys.
