Hey everyone!
My name is Simbah (Yes like the lion king)
I'm from Canada, my family and I have been parrot enthusiasts our whole lives. This isn't the first forum I've been on so Im not a complete newbie.
Prior to this, I used to be really active on a few bird forums; but the management of them changed and it wasn't a very welcoming place anymore. So I left them and am in search of a new forum to mark 'home base' aha :09:
I myself, foster and rehabilitate XL-Med parrots but have never had a foster failure; so I still have no large parrots permanently living in home. I always felt that not owning any of my own made it easier for me to rehabilitate and train my fids who I was working with - giving them my undivided attention and what not. But recently, I've been longing for lifetime companion(s). But I haven't found a rescue that spoke to me yet. So I am just waiting for the right rescue at the right time
As for smaller birds, my fids are 6 tiels and 4 budgies. I'm also owned by a female 4 pound Chihuahua named Bambi, alongside a 35 pound PugXPom named Rambo.
All are rescues with amazing stories!
Well, there goes my attempt at an introduction LOL.
In all honesty though, I hope Parrot forums is the community I've been searching for all this time. I've been lurking as a ghost for a few days and really like what I see, so here I am
I'm looking forward to meeting you and all of your beautiful fids!
