Hi All...we are the very happy co-resdidents with our 9 year old Umbrella Cockatoo....Opus. She is wonderful! We have never done a forum, but thought it might be fun. We do have one silly question.....our opus loves to spend at least an hour every night under the covers with us in bed!! Does anyone else have this? She sleeps while we read or do PC stuff...then goes to her cage when we turn out the lights for sleep...but she would gladly stay in bed all night if we would let her...talk about bonding!!

well...thanks...Janette Jack

Welcome to our wonderful friendly forum, sure you are going to enjoy and learn so much.
I do not see a problem with the bird under your covers for an hour, as long as you do not fall asleep, that could end in tragedy. At least your bird know to go back to the cage when the lights are turned off, clever bird
Ps... we love pictures ...hint hint

hahahahaha, that is funny and cute. Nope none of my birds like to be under anything. I love forums, because most of us aren't experts, but when you get a bunch of us together on here, we can come up with solutions to most any problem.

Did someone mention pictures?

yes pics please,

Hi, Welcome to the forum! I just have a little Green Cheek Conure and she does not like being under things. Again welcome and I hope you find some helpful information on here...and if nothing else some cute and entertaining stories!

My Sun Conure LOVES to hide under the covers with me!!! He will run all over under them. He'll poke his head out from under the blanket and make sure I'm still awake and then quickly scurry back under and go back to doing whatever it is he does under there when I'm not under snuggling with him.
