Okay I have a confession to make. I accidentally required 2 more budgies.
Meet ‘Wattle’ the darker green.
And the pale yellow one.. I still can’t stick to a name.. but maybe sprinkles!
I’ve had them quite a few weeks now.
‘Sprinkles’ is pretty tame. Wattle made best friends with Cosmo so I felt awful for Peter that his friend was taken away so that’s why I ended up getting sprinkles.
They are all getting along really well.
I feel bad for the tiels, the budgies are so active  Can’t wait until we possibly move soon and I can give them a much bigger aviary.

Sprinkles..

Wattle is the furthest on the left. He’s quite hard to photograph..

Budgies are addictive.

Wow!!! They are really beautiful!

I have never seen a budgie like Sprinkles, it is a rare mutation in my part of the world, seems to be a Single Factor Yellowface I, White Based Spangle.

Congratulations!!

And yes,....budgies are addictive! :) :)

Hi Hannah! Seems like I'm always late on the scene :( Lovely set-up for your boys! Yep Cosmo will be splish-splashing in no time lol. My Wally used to love bathing under kitchen faucet or in my cereal bowl..
Afraid to ask but here goes..any sighting ever on your crazy but awesome Sunny??

Thanks Jim! Looking forward to some warmer weather so I can give the boys a permanent bath in their avairy :)
Sadly no Sunny sightings. Just hundreds of Corellas that I see here everyday. I hope he is amongst them 🥲

Hello everyone!
Birds are enjoying the spring air. And they now have a permanent bath, my partner made a pole extension to the feeder for a bath.
Been enjoying giving them fresh gum branches and poplar branches.

So we finally bought our first property (yay)!
The birdos moved in last week, my hope was to buy them a bigger aviary when we moved them here but we need the money to do fencing so I can bring my horses here next.
So for now they are still in there perfectly adequate aviary, just freshly cleaned and re-furnished :D
Moving them was quite an ordeal. Catching the budgies wasn’t too difficult..Wattle took a little longer as he isn’t tamed at all. But I caught him mid air within a couple of minutes! The cockatiels however..hmm.. boy did they make me swear, Gizmo is such a drama queen. He shrieks as if I’m strangling him! They both immediately think they are going to die. And heck they bite HARD!
They all travelled together in a little carry cage for the car journey and then I put them in my large (ish) indoor cage for a day and night while I re-built and set up the aviary. The budgies are so chill. The second I opened the door on the Carry cage against the opening of the big cage they went straight for feed and the leaves I put in their, chatting away with each other as they go. Meanwhile Percy and Gizmo take 20 mins to find the opening..well they didn’t find the opening. I had to physically take them out and get screamed and and torn to shreds again!! Oh I love them..o_O haha.
Once aviary was ready we carried the big cage into the aviary and let them out. They were all so happy and chuffed to be back in their home. In a new location! New view! And new neighbourhood birds to meet!
Today I laid down ‘bush bark’ on the floor, the budgies enjoy scratching around on the floor.
Excuse the look of Sprinkles, he’s going through a tough molt!
Oh and Peter is feeling all better now after his little illness :)

They look great, Hannah :) No surprise to me that Percy and Gizmo are the drama queens of your flock, Fang certainly carries that title among my trio! And it's so good to know little Peter is doing much better too. Thank you for the great pics, the update and congratulations on a successful move and your new adventures in property ownership :)

Welcome to your new home and property, Hannah!! So much potential for expansion, meanwhile your beautiful flock is safe and happy!! Very glad to know Peter has improved with your expert care!!

Hi everyone!
After a short stint of Cosmo also becoming poorly and having to spend a weekend in the hospital cage to rest and recover with medication. All the birdos are finally happy and well again!
I also now have 3 lovely chickens, Melody, Heidi and Dottie.
Here are some photos from yesterday, Peter was stealing the show and wanted to be everywhere I pointed the camera!..
