First dressage competition!

You two look fabulous together. Great proportions, the 2 of you. I thought he was doing an extended trot at one point, shows what I know.... You are so lucky to have him and get to ride.

I think he got a bit faster and extended when i was trying to get him to canter? hahahaha

Thank you! :)

On the ground, everyone thought he was huge.. Then one lady said- He doesn't look big when you are on him, but from the ground he is massive :p

My instructor just messaged me on facebook after watching the videos and said-

You should be really proud of yourself darl!!! I am so stoked for you still!!! You went out there after a huge fall and u took on a show and did well!! Good on you!! Bring on 2014 hey

You have done fantastic darl!!! So happy for you, what a great start to your comp year! he still could relax more and come from behind, but that takes time and you rode him lovely! so things to work on but nothing thats going too be hard :)

dressage is just about suppleness, relaxation, consistency & working together with your pony!

and then we were talking about jumping, and she said-
i can teach the basics of jumping and jumps up to around 90cm then i would get you to go to someone more experienced

So there we go! She can teach me dressage and jumping now! :D

It was in the first video, no cantering. It may have just been the viewing angle or I just couldn't properly interpret what was happening without the benefit of Lucinda Green. He was just looking beautiful doing that "forward trot" not so much that "up and down" trot. He just looked gorgeous with his legs extended coming around a corner, I thought he was doing an extended trot, obviously I don't know.

I lease a lovely palomino american quarter horse. His owner doesn't live in the area anymore, so I share him with another lady. We went to a hunter pace recently and he had a ton of fun! Wish I could have my own horse but it's not possible right now. Saving up for the day though!

Sounds like you have a fun 2014 of riding planned! ^.^
