I cant believe how quickly he learns :)

AWESOME pictures, Tab! Fargo looks stunning! And happy as can be! Unbelievable how quickly you 2 formed such an incredibly strong bond. :D

Nawwwwww I love him!!!! So so cute!!!! :D :D :D

Very cool pictures of Fargo, Tab. And your training videos are impressive :). Fargo is so smart and friendly; it's quite clear how much he loves you!

Wow... now I really want a b&g lol.. I always have actually :)

I gotta find me a tube that big, the flock would love it (if I could keep them from eating it)

I can roll the GW's over like that with no problem, just never tried to "teach" it to them

awesome vids!! :)

Beautiful pics Tab! And I love the videos! :)
Cool that Fargo can do the tunnel too. That was Eloys best trick for some months ago.
That is so funny and rewarding to train them and I will never stop doing that because I think that is imported that they have some hard work to do every day.

Thank you so much everyone!! :)
Its funny because now when he sees me get the tunnel out, he flies to the floor waiting to walk through it haha :p

and wharfrat my goal is to get him to roll over by himself when i say 'roll over' ;) hehe

But that is good. :) If he didn't like training he would never had done that.
And I guess he likes candy as much as Eloy. :p
Have you had Fargo out yet with the Harness?

hahaha eloy and fargo must both be obsessed with their treats ;)

nooo, im so paranoid :p we do just basic practicing each day with it, hes had it on fully twice now.. so, this weekend, i will get up the courage, and we will go for a walk.. maybe just around the house and verandah firstly hahaha :p

That will be so fine Tab! :) Fargo will love to take a short walk with you.
And it's not bad being paranoid, (good word :p) better to take it slow, and Fargo will love you for it in the end. <3

Great pictures, thank you for sharing. Joe

thank you Eloy! hope he enjoys his walk, that harness has made me more nervous than him! :p hahah

thank you joe :)

Fargo is obviously such a well-loved, well-looked after bird & you're clearly doing a fantastic job with his training. It's so great to see!

What a cutie!! :D I love your pictures and videos of Fargo! He's so smart! You guys motivate me to be just as diligent with Atlas. If you don't mind me asking, how old was he when you got him and when did you start training him? Also, how long do you train him for and how often?

thanks!
well, i got him on the 8th of september, and he was born 28th of january :p so about 7 months.. He was actually the worst out of all the baby macaws there, wasnt the 'friendly' type.. After the first day he was eating out of my hands, and after about 3 days (i think) he was stepping up.. A week later he would step up perfectly, then started flying to me! so we then did flight training.. then after that we worked on turning around, waving, shaking hands, hi-5-.. and now we are doing through the tunnel and rolling over!
With the harness, he was petrified of it, and after 2 months! he finally let me put it on him, and he was happy!
I am at home with him ALL day, EVERY day... so i think because of that, our bond strengthened very quickly :)

For training times, its really all random.. in the mornings we might do 5 minutes of turning around, waving ect.. then lunch time, might do some flight training for 5 minutes, and then in the evening we will sit on the floor and do things for 10 minutes..

but then throughout the day, i might just say 'shake hands!' or play with him upside down on my lap :) so basically all day is training, even just asking him to step up is training, or when he sits next to me and i am scratching him, its bonding
