December 2024 POTM Contest!

Not wishing to be outdone during this month's festivities, here is Princess Peachie with her unique rendition of "Jingle Bells". You go girl!!!

My sweet Aussie niece has skills! ❤️

Well you know Peachie might accept the Rb's generous offer, if only she didn't already have eyes for a certain handsome little red headed rooster with a foot fetish!!

Okay Peachie, whatever rings your bell ;) (see what I did there? 🤣)

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this Month's contest. All these pictures are just stunning, and really match the theme. Thank you all again! ❤️

The poll will be going up this afternoon, so there's still a bit of time left for a last minute entry :)

They don’t want to officially enter 🤣 they will work on being more photogenic for next year
@kme3388, when you say "next year" I hope you mean January 2025, cos that contest will be coming up real soon!!

Thank you once again to all who participated in this month's contest!
The contest is now closed, and the poll will be posted shortly.

Good luck everyone! :)

Now that's a lot of tail feathers! I thought I had a collection going, but WOW! :)
You ain’t seen nothing yet! I have various collections of tail and wing feathers all over the house! Keep in mind this is a tiny fraction of 50 years of feathers! My bird is so careful with and proud of his feathers that they are always molted in perfect condition. None of this frayed feather business—he makes sure of that! 😜Visitors to my house often ask to take a tail feather. We generously oblige.

Some random person asked if they can buy my macaws tail feathers. $30/tail feather. I didn’t realize this was a thing.

Cha ching! :)
I've heard it was a thing. No idea how to find people that want them, but my wife has made noises about selling some of ours. Amazon flash feathers are apparently worth something to someone besides us crazy parrot owners. 🤷

Jeez! I wish there was a market for budgie feathers! My vacuum cleaners probably have a whole pillows worth in them right now! Fishing lures, perhaps? My sister in law in Florida has a neighborhood peacock, Gregory Peck, that molts his tail every so often and she collects up the gorgeous tail feathers and sends them to me. I have way more than I can use for decor. Anyone want some?
