Okay, I've got a happily bonded non producing pair of parrotlets., had them for
a few years now. They were culled breeder birds., pictured in my profile pic.
I've got the male talking, when I am close and getting him to talk he will flutter
his wings just like the babies do when they are being fed. ( he's I think approx 6yrs)
Flutters when he gets a treat , flutters when I look in his eyes and talk to him.
it is the most endearing thing ever. My heart melts. It is not a mating behavior
at all. When I ask for a raspberry he makes the burrrrr sound and lifts his wings or
flitters them as he is doing it. Like he is emphasizing what he is saying lol
Does anyone have a bird that does this? When he gets his treat he will flutter
or when I come in close for a kiss he will flutter when he gets his treat
, the wing lift is like a shrug to
emphasize his words.
Anyone? did your bird just start doing it on his/her own?
