Cold after a bath?

After his bath I like to hold Birdy in waded paper towel for a short while to soak up the worst of the water, then I go outside and place him in the sunshine to preen.

It results in one of those simple joys where you just know he is super happy to be with you at that exact moment in time... :D
 
Yeah I notice Loco shivers and feels very cold even when our house is nice and warm. I used to try and towel him but he HATES it. He'd rather shiver and dry out. Sometimes if it's cold I use the hair dryer.

My old guy has been shivering after a bath for decades now. He seems to be just find like that. He goes to the part of the top of cage closes to the window where it is warmer from the sun. I would say to watch the bird and see if he is having difficulty with the cold or just just continues preening and "doing his thing" while the shivering is going on. If he seems safe and busy and not bothered, then you probably don't need to do anything. Pritti has a plucked clean chest (been so for about 17 years after a traumatic time back then), but he "shivered" before that. :green1:
