Can he/she possibly know me already?

I went to visit my new baby at lunch today and was soooo surprised to see his little 10 week old clumsy self run to the cage door when I peeked in at him. I reached in to pick him up and no fuss at all. He cuddled right up to me underneath my chin and purred like a little kitty. He fussed when I put him back in his cage. Is it really possible that he remembers me this early?

Being a breeder myself i would say that most of the credit goes to the hand-rearer. Seems she has done a wonderful job so far & he/she is a very social calm happy little baby. However a weekly visit really will help with the transition when you do finally take him/her home.

Do CAG babies go through various stages like the eclectus. In the first 4 months a baby eclectus sometimes can be like Jekyll or Hyde.

I go and see him every single day!!!! lol And the breeder is absolutley amazing and he loves every single birdie he raises. I highly recomend him. I could have got a baby cheaper, but I am so pleased with this breeder that I would pay anything for one of his babies.
I have heard about "the change" in CAG babies, though sometimes it doesnt happen with all of them, depends on the bird I guess

A daily visit is even better. Do you also get a chance to feed your baby. I usually get new owners to come over at feed time to help feed them.

So far I haven't been able to feed him because of my schedule, this weekend we may be able to. But we have let him nibble fruits and veggies from our hands. It's so cute, he doesn't quite know how to bite through it yet.... But I took the skin off of a piece of grape and he looooved it! He just kinda licks it. I still can't get over how clumsy he is. We should know the sex for sure in a couple days, but I really think its a he.

If you get a chance to feed him, you should. I did with my Blue Crown baby. I always thought she knew me when I came to see her even though it was only once a week. Long before she could perch, she would try to climb onto my arm.
