I purchased him at a local shop dedicated to birds named Simbads. First time they had gotten one. It was purchased by some people who live in Trinidad but me and my wife saw him every time at the shop. Luckily for us they had trouble shipping wise so they sold him to us!! Were in love. Looking forward to his final colorations. Ate veggies and fought the grapes today for the first time. Sunday will be his first shower/Cage cleaning so lets see how he likes it :)

You have a Camelot Chasroth? Hows their temperament. Mine is getting a bit mouthy. I wanna get into clicker training with all three of them.

I dont no. You are lucky to have a yellow dom tho. They are very beautiful. I had the chance to purchase a camelot but the scarlet in them kinda put me off. The people from birdtricks have 2 of them and they are very trainable from what I seen.

I just took the 30 day trial of the one day miracles. Mines is actually a Camelina. He is a cross between the camelot and the Catalina so even more Scarlet LOL. He is a bit more mouthy today but luckily hes young and slow to bite. Hasnt mastered hois beak as of yet LOL Ive trained dogs but never parrots LOL

Everyone just down the scarlet macaw because of the rumors that they are nippy and hasty and quick to bite and so on I suppose? That is really not the case Scarlets can be one of the most affectionate and loving macaws when trained just like all the other macaws. Honestly the macaw that I see at rescues with the biggest issues are the great old blue and golds. They come in very hyper and aggresive. Now not saying Scarlets can't be Alittle iffy, but I don't li,e how generalized people have made them they are really great. And the hybrids with the scarlet in them are still great. I'd rather have a scarlet over a blue and gold or even a military, now that is a macaw type that can be a handful.

A few months down the road I want to look into a Scarlet as that is the first bird I was in awe of. Want to make sure I can handle the new addition before jumping into a Scarlet. Lets me get them feel as part of our coockoos nest LOL. Id want a girl to try to bond with Sunny. I know they may hate each other but I figure if they are introduced young it would increase the chances of them getting along. :)

Bought it at Simbads. Both cages actually. Great cage except the wheel base is very flimsy. We had to repair it with stainless steel screws to hold because the weld would not hold. I believe the cage was made in Spain. Mac is the harlequin that is with the B & G :)

Good looking bird. That's Christmas Palms in your yard. Those are the same ones i feed my birds. Do your 's get sprayed with mosquito spray??
