i have very weird names..
Fargo was named after a scientist on a tv show
and my horse is called Klaatu- named after an alien on a movie

K, now are there any "do's and dont's" when I bring him home?
Particularly Alexandrine owners.

Okay just the general do's and dont's when bringing home a new parrot (any species)...
I know to keep them away from your own birds (quarantine) for about 40 days.

Have the cage set up before you bring him home.. and dont crowd him, just leave him be because he will be scared!
Then just talk to him quietly and get him used to you and feed him treats through the bars and he will start to trust you

Just read to leave your bird in it's cage for the first 3 days without interacting with it so it can settle in. True???

ummm im not sure.. when i brought home fargo i left him for an hour or 2, and when i checked on him he was playing with his toys and exploring the cage.. after a few more hours i went back in and i fed him treats through the bars and read a book to him and he sat there listening..
the next day he was eating the treats out of my hand in the cage, and then he stepped up to come out.. then after that he was eating fine, and coming out for a play, so he adjusted pretty quickly

You will just have to see how your little guy is.. he might not want anything to do with anyone for the first few days

My Grandma came over 2day, I told her I was getting the bird and she gave me $50 to help pay 4 it It's also my Bday in Jan. and my parents said the bird can be an early birthday present (so their paying 4 it)
