Cage proposal #2 for feedback

Harry, how much space do you have (LWH)? Can it be floor standing or must it sit on a piece of furniture? Providing your envelope dimensions might help others who are eager to spend your money on a new cage ;)

The one you posted seems (still) too small. If you have room for it, get a cage that sits on a stand, that is big enough for the bird to really stretch out and have space. It does depend on how much time the bird will be out of the cage and if you will have more than one bird.

That cage still looks a bit small to me. I would go with a free standing cage over a tabletop one. My budgies each have one of these cages: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KMQCOSS/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_2XNnCbRSJ9SKS
It’s not a traditional flight cage in that it has the extra features like the seed guard and feeder doors. The bar spacing is 1/2” which is what you need for a budgie. It might not be as wide as the flight cages, but it seems like a good size for one budgie.

Here are some other great options to look at:

I think its a good size but expensive! Wow!!
Can't wait to see your new buddy in the cage. :)

Good choice!! Similar in size to my budgies’ cages but without the height. Probably one of the best choices for a tabletop cage. Hope he likes it :)

You did good. I would of keep the dowel by the good dishes. Then do a bunch of different short perches so can hop to each.even though parakeets are little they need some wider perches. When do we get to see a picture of your new baby?
